Let's run some errands today!
One of our most popular home care programs is our errand service where we enjoy spending time with our seniors taking them to those places of needs, comfort or excitement.
Upcoming Activities & Events
Many seniors are very active seniors, but cannot drive and it presents a real challenge for them to get to special events and upcoming activities. Home Care You Deserve enjoys helping seniors satisfy their needs to get to those events.
We pride ourselves in flexibility and that comes from our initial home care needs assessment. Although we cannot promise we will be able to accomplish all of the needs of our seniors on spur of the moment requests, we sure can promise we will do our very best to assist. That is where the home care assessment is so valuable when seniors outline their lifestyle, meals, activities, needs, wants, desires, physical capabilities, likes and dislikes, moods, etc.
Our Errand Service
Our care team enjoys our errand service which sometimes if totally planned from the beginning or takes shape without notice, but still fits into the time schedule agreed upon. Those errand services may include:
- Let’s run and grab a sandwich, salad or soup from the local diner.
- I need to run to the pharmacy as my pharmacist just called and said my prescription was available.
- Can we plan on picking up some groceries from the supermarket today or tomorrow?
- For our next session, can we talk about taking a ride along the beach? Maybe we can fit in lunch near the beach.
- My car needs an oil change and they can schedule me in next week. Can you help me with the transportation of my vehicle to the dealership?
- My friend wants to have a cup of coffee in a few days in her home. Do you think you can help get me to her home?
- My friend wants to watch the upcoming football game, but I am not capable of putting the food items together and laying them out. What can you do to possibly help me?
- I need some more milk and bread in a few days. Is it possible for you to pick those up for me when you come?
- I am having troubles with my iPad. Can you take me to Best Buy so we can arrange to meet with the Geek Squad?
- I have scheduled a handyman to come out next week and repair the front steps. Can you help me communicate with him what needs to be done?
- My grandchildren are coming into town in a few weeks. I will need some special cleaning services before they arrive. What can you do to help please?
- The remote is giving me some issues and I think the batteries need to be changes. What do you think?
- Can we take a few minutes and run to Walmart or Target this afternoon? I may also need to stop by Publix for a few items.
- Connecting with Others: Being social is paramount to a senior or widower long-term health and well-being. Maintaining strong bonds is essential to enjoying a full life.
- Outings & Adventures: We love to take our seniors and widowers to the beach, park, shopping, grandkids ballgames or school events.
- Important Errands: Going to the pharmacy, grocery store, pet store, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Outback Steakhouse, etc., is something that helps get folks out of the home to enjoy the outdoors.
- Key Appointments: We value the opportunity to take seniors or widowers to doctors appointments. Other appointments for various reasons are also essential in maintaining a healthy mindset for seniors and widowers.
